Disclosure

This blog is, and always will be, about sharing information with smart readers who are interested in starting a business in a cool destination. Regardless, starting in 2009, the FTC requires bloggers to disclose whenever there could be hidden interests or unspoken biases related to recommendations of products or services.

So, in the interest of full disclosure, you should assume the following:

  • If I interview someone, they provided me with mad swag.
  • If you click on an Amazon link, I am making crazy scratch. Imagine me laughing with delight as I place numerous 1 cent coins into my piggy bank every time you buy something.
  • If I appear in a photo with a branded t-shirt, I have been given that t-shirt.  In reality, I am probably only wearing it because I have nothing else in my drawer.
  • If I interview someone in-person, in a foreign country, they have flown me over in a private jet.

For simplicity’s sake, for my sanity, and to keep me out of jail, assume the following holds true for anything and everything you see on this website:
